Our Story
Viet Cuisine proudly introduces its first restaurant in Canada, bringing a legacy of culinary excellence shaped by love and passion for Vietnamese cuisine. Our esteemed head chef, Quoc Thanh, originates from the picturesque island of Long Son in southern Vietnam. Following his immigration to France, he met Thi, and together they established their first restaurant in Bressuire, France. Now, after twelve years in Calgary, they are excited to share their authentic Vietnamese culinary heritage with the local community, marking a new chapter in their remarkable journey.

Long Son
Long Son is a small island in the south of Vietnam, known for its peaceful atmosphere and close connection to nature. The island’s rich culture and fresh, local ingredients shaped the culinary traditions that inspired Chef Quoc Thanh. Growing up surrounded by the flavors of the sea and countryside, Quoc Thanh’s love for authentic, fresh Vietnamese food was born here and continues to influence the dishes at Viet Cuisine.



Bressuire
Upon arriving in France, Chef Quoc Thanh met Thi, and the two settled in the town of Bressuire. There, after several years, they established their first restaurant, becoming integral members of the local community. Their time in Bressuire proved transformative, laying the foundation for their culinary journey. This experience ultimately inspired their move to Canada, where they continue to share their story and passion for Vietnamese cuisine.
